POTSDAM, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — After pulling over a car in Potsdam in Franklin County on Monday, September 2, New York State Police found the driver had roughly 40 bricks of heroin in the vehicle.

The driver, 31-year-old James Labarr of Franklin County, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, Class B felonies.

State police also say Labarr had a child with him in the car, causing him to also be charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor.

Labarr was arraigned and remanded without bail to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility due to prior felony convictions, according to NYSP.
