TOWN OF CLAY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — On Sept. 5 around 8:30 p.m., the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office was called to a Town of Clay gas station for a stabbing call.

At the scene, a Citgo Gas Station located off Route 57, deputies found 50-year-old Scott Lamica, of Liverpool inside the store. Police say that deputies noticed he had severe stab wounds, and attempted life-saving measures.

According to a spokesman with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office both the suspect and the victim lived in nearby Madison Village. The spokesman also went on to report that the stabbing took place in Madison Village and not at the Citgo.

Lamica was taken to Upstate Medical Center downtown but later died of his injuries.

The suspect, 44-year-old Richard Losee, of Liverpool, was charged with murder in the 2nd and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th, in the Town of Clay.

Currently, he is at the Justice Center waiting for arraignment.

This is an active investigation. We will update you when we know more.
