    Pair of St. Lawrence Co. men facing drug charges after traffic stop

    BRASHER, N.Y. (WWTI) – A pair of St. Lawrence County men are facing multiple drug charges after a Monday morning traffic stop in the town of Brasher.

    New York State Police 53-year-old Bryan Hartson and 36-year-old Timothy Kerrick, both of Wintrhop, with several counts related to a traffic stop by New York State Troopers around 1:55 a.m. Monday morning on State Route 11C.

    The stop was initiated for a loud exhaust. During the traffic stop, numerous amounts of narcotics were located in the vehicle, including about 1.3 ounces of cocaine, 15 grams of MDMA and numerous pills of several different types.

    Kerrick was charged with five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, six counts seventh-degree of criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

    Hartson was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, six counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a traffic ticket for loud exhaust.

    The pair were both arraigned in the Town of Stockholm Court, where Hartson was released on his own recognizance. However, Kerrick was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash.
