Sept. 14: Black River’s First Block Party

Black River is holding their First Block Party “Connect the Blocks” on Saturday, September 14, from 12 to 7 p.m.

The event will have food, drinks, music, games and displays. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the DJ and band.

Event Highlights:

• 12 to 2 p.m. – DJ;
• Registration at Noon, games at 1 p.m. — Cornhole tournament;
• 2 p.m. — Citizen of the year and Veterans of the year;
• 2:30 p.m. — K-9 demonstration;
• 3 to 7 p.m. –Right Turn Band;
• All food and alcohol services will stop at 6 p.m.;
• Kid’s games run until 6 p.m.; and
• Military, Fire and Ambulance vehicle displays.

Attendees should be aware that most vendors are cash only.
