    Lewis County woman charged after allegedly being on meth at time of accident

    GRIEG, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 28-year-old Glenfield woman is facing several charges after allegedly being impaired on meth, injuring herself and three other occupants when crashed her vehicle while driving.

    Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Megan Miller of Glenfield on Thursday on charges stemming from an alleged July 18 crash on Partridgeville Road in the town of Greig.

    Authorities allege that the SUV Miller was operating went off the road and overturned. She and three passengers, including two children under the age of 16 were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

    Sheriff’s Deputies said that Miller showed signs of impairment at the crash scene at the time of the accident. According to the sheriff’s office, subsequent blood tests showed Miller was under the influence of amphetamine and methamphetamine.

    Miller is facing the following charges:

    • Second-degree reckless endangerment
    • Endangering the welfare of a child (two counts)
    • Seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance
    • Reckless driving
    • Aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the car
    • Third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
    • Failure to keep right
    • Speed not reasonable or prudent

    She was arraigned in the Lewis County CAP Court and released.

    The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New York State Police, 3-G Fire Department, Lewis County Search and Rescue, Turin Ambulance and Lyons Falls Ambulance.
