Serious motorcycle accident in Franklin County

HARRIETSTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – According to a State Police press release, they responded to a serious personal injury motorcycle accident on State Route 3 in the town of Harrietstown on Friday, September 13, at about 1:21 p.m.

State Police have said that a preliminary investigation determined a 2003 Kawasaki, operated by a male 57-year-old Florida resident, was traveling on State Route 3 near the State Boat Launch, Saranac Lake, when he struck the rear of an unknown vehicle, ejecting him off the motorcycle.

According to State Police, he was airlifted to Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Vermont sustaining life-threatening injuries. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
