Sept. 27&28: Cape Vincent Oktoberfest

The Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce Presents Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 28, from 12 to 5 p.m. on the Village Green with a pre-Oktoberfest Keg Tapping Party on Friday, September 27 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Attendees should be advised that this is a 21 and older event, No one under the age of 21 will be admitted into the event.

Ben Wisner and Full Circle will be playing on Friday for the Keg Tapping Party. Admission to the keg tapping is free with an advanced Oktoberfest ticket and $5 for the Keg Tapping Party only.

For the main event on Saturday, there will be an Autumn Farmers and Crafters Market with a Beer Garden, featuring samples of authentic German beer and tastings from a New York State winery. The Bavarian Band from Syracuse, NY will be performing German songs and dancing. There will also be a beer stein race with cash prizes.

Food for the day will feature a wide variety of traditional Bavarian fares: including pretzels, bratwurst, sauerkraut, braised red cabbage, German potato salad, apple strudel and Hoffman hot dogs sold by the Cape Vincent Fire Department on the Village Green.
