I-690 West ramp to I-90 to temporarily close for repairs

VAN BUREN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The New York State Department of Transportation wants to alert drivers that the ramp from I-690 West to I-90 (New York State Thruway) in the Town of Van Buren will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27.

NYSDOT said this closure is to make guide rail repairs.

During the closure, drivers will directed to follow a detour that will direct drivers to State Route 690 north, to the Van Buren Road off-ramp, to Van Buren Road south, to State Route 690 south, to Exit 1 (I-90).

The DOT also wants to remind drivers to slow down when driving through work zones and to always pay attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Construction activities may change based on weather conditions.
