JCC’s Athlete of the Week ending Sept. 22

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Jefferson Community College’s Athlete of the Week for the Week Ending Sept. 22, 2024, is Sophomore goalie, Tobias N. Lau, of the JCC men’s soccer team.

Lau, a 2023 graduate of Gymnasium Ricarda-Huch Schule, Germany, is majoring in Business Administration at JCC.

Lau’s outstanding efforts in goal last week, facing off against the #5 nationally ranked Mohawk Valley Community College and #2 Herkimer College, truly deserve recognition. MVCC and Herkimer both were relentless in attack, but Tobias rose to the occasion, saving the Cannoneers almost 40 times across the 2 matches.

The Cannoneers’ next game will be the Burning Leaves Hockey Tournament on Friday, Sept. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at Saranac Lake Civic Center.
