St. Lawrence County man charged with stealing handgun and selling to minor

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 19-year-old Hammond man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a handgun and selling the weapon to a minor.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies charged Gaige Cantore with third-degree criminal sale of a firearm, criminal sale of a firearm to a minor, grand larceny of a fire arm and endangering the welfare of a child.

Sheriff’s Deputies allege that Cantore allegedly stole the handgun and solid it to someone under the age of 18.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Jefferson County Jail on $7,500 cash bail.
