    Jefferson Co. man charged after allegedly fleeing police on motorcycle

    WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 33-year-old Dexter man is facing multiple charges after allegedly fleeing police on his motorcycle in the City of Watertown.

    Watertown Police charged Shain Long with third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, reckless driving and a number of other traffic offenses.

    According to police, the charges stem from when Long allegedly sped away from police refused to stop for them. Authorities allege that he drove above 30 miles per hour past the speed limit and did not stop for traffic signs and lights.

    Long was ticketed and released. He’s slated to appear in Watertown City Court on Tuesday, October 29.
