ADAMS, N.Y. (WWTI) – Last week’s severe weather has caused damage to CSX train tracks in the Adams and Antwerp areas.

The remnants of Hurricane Debby caused flooding across Northern New York. However, the tracks should be hopefully repaired soon.

Due to the severe impact of storm Debby, extensive flooding is currently affecting CSX’s Northeast operations on the Albany and St. Lawrence subdivisions. As a result, customers should anticipate delays of up to one week. Rest assured that the CSX team is closely monitoring local conditions and actively evaluating potential rerouting options to minimize disruptions.

The statement went on to add that “the safety of our employees and community, along with the timely delivery of services, are our top priorities.”

CSX said that updates will be provided as needed on the status of the track repairs. The company added that it would be “available to provide details and answer questions regarding shipments. Call the Customer Solutions team at 1-877-ShipCSX (1-877-744- 7279).”
