Temple City High School lockdown lifted after unfounded report of person with gun on campus

Temple City High School was placed on a brief lockdown Thursday afternoon after a report of a person with a gun on campus turned out to be unfounded, officials said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department received one call about a person with a weapon on campus.

Investigators quickly arrived on scene, and deputies went from room to room to clear the premises. There were no reports of any injuries.

Shortly before 2:40 p.m., sheriff's officials posted on X that the investigation was over, and the lockdown was lifted.
