5 people rescued after mechanical failure in the 'Super Loops' carnival ride in Mexico
Firefighters had to rescue five people who became trapped following a mechanical failure at an amusement park ride in Mexico.The incident occurred inside "Núcleo de Feria" in Ocotlán, Jalisco. The roller coaster known as "Super Loops" was suspended upside down with five people aboard, according to the Civil Protection and Ocotlán Fire Agency, who shared images of the incident.The rescuers used a ladder truck that gave them better access to free the occupants from the ride.The occupants were rescued after 30 minutes of being suspended and received medical attention at the scene, authorities said. One of the victims was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.The Risk Management Area and Regulations Personnel closed the ride after a review.No further details were immediately known.

Man arrested after caught on video throwing large rocks at Pacoima business
A man accused of throwing rocks at a family-owned business in Pacoima has been arrested after the vandalism was caught on video.Security video captured the man throwing large rocks and shattering several windows at La Chuleta Fresca, a butcher shop on Glenoaks Boulevard and Paxton Street on Saturday. Body found amid search for missing Indigenous woman in Riverside County
Days after a Feather Alert was issued for a missing Riverside County woman, friends and family believe they found her body after organizing their own search.Authorities have not confirmed that the body found Sunday morning near the 10 Freeway and Wildwood Canyon Road is Amy Porter.But two cousins of Porter who helped organize the search and saw the body say they believe it is her."Unfortunately we were the ones to have to find her. But we know we found our loved one," said Porter's cousin Angelica Lyons.The 43-year-old Porter, who is affiliated with the Morongo tribe, was last seen on Sept. 14 in Lake Elsinore.Her friends and family were frustrated with the pace of the law enforcement investigation and organized their own search effort on Sunday, finding the body in a ravine around 9 a.m.Her family suspects her death was caused by foul play. One person was shot and killed on a West Carson street and bystanders helped investigators track down the suspect who fled from the scene.The shooting was reported around 3:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of W.
