Cannabis goods worth millions of dollars were taken by police from an after-hours club in the Bronx on Saturday afternoon.

The NYC Sheriff's Office and the NYPD worked together very closely on this case. What began as a routine check quickly turned into a raid on a building in the Mott Haven neighbourhood of the Bronx.

Around noon, police were called to the building at 516 Timpson Place because people in the area had been complaining. A lot of allegedly illegal drugs and hallucinogens were found when police carried out their search request, according to the police.

Illegal Cannabis Goods

Police say pictures of the weed bust show a lot of different items behind a display case and in a stock room. Police think they have taken more than $10 million worth of illegal cannabis goods.

Police say they found cannabis flowers, pre-rolls, hallucinogenic candies and sweets inside the building, among other things.

The Biggest Seizure Since Operation Padlock

Officials think this is the biggest seizure since Operation Padlock to Protect began in May. This is a citywide attempt to stop the illegal sale of marijuana.

It is actually illegal to sell things here, not just package them. That's exactly what we're talking about when we talk about packing for kids. We tell people that these things shouldn't be sold in our neighborhoods because they are illegal and not regulated. Sheriff Anthony Miranda of New York City said, Right now we don't know what they're mixing it with and selling to the people.

At this point, no one has been arrested because the police case closelyare still looking into what happened.
