Police sources say that when someone went to a house in Bensonhurst, they saw their brother having blood on his hands. The New York Police Department says that cops arrived at 10:18 p.m. near Avenue P and West 8th Street in Brooklyn.

Police found a 56-year-old woman, later named Fayzieva Mavlyuda, who had been stabbed several times in the neck, according to the officials. Police said they found three people with multiple stab wounds: two children, ages 4 and 5, and a woman, later named as Maftuna Khakimova, 27.

Police say that when first rescuers got to the house, they found all of the victims dead.

    Police Arrested a 24-Year-Old Guy.

Sources say that police arrested a 24-year-old guy in connection with the event. Police sources say they think the killing was caused by a fight between family members.

Juan Perez, a neighbor, woke up early Saturday morning to hear someone crying outside of his bedroom window across the street.

    Neighbors Responding To The News

According to a neighbor, the family has lived in the building for about ten years. The neighbor and her mother also came to New York from Uzbekistan, and they got along well with the grandmother, who was 56 years old.

Police spent Saturday going in and out of the apartment block and talking to neighbors at each door.

Flower and light memorials are growing in front of the West Eighth Street apartment building.
