At 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, the first incident took place in the Bronx.

A 51-year-old man was slashed on the number 4 train going south as it got close to the 167 Street stop.

Someone told the police that he saw two guys trying to open his bag.

When he talked to them, they got up and left. They cut him in the face when they came back.

At the 167 Street stop, the two got off the train.

He stayed on the train until it stopped at 149th Street, then got off and went to Lincoln Hospital to get better.

Two guys are said to have attacked him. One of them had on a black T-shirt and shorts. The other person had a black shirt and hat on.

    The 111 Street Stop

A 58-year-old man was slashed in the arm and forehead on the A subway platform at the 111 Street stop in Ozone Park, Queens, just before 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

Two suspects fought with the man, but they didn't take anything. They were covered in black and wore black masks.

The person was in stable condition when they went to Jamaica Hospital.

MTA' Talk On Its Running Budget

The attacks happened not long after the MTA board met to talk about the train system's shortfall in crime and its operating budget.

Police, prosecutors, and other criminal justice friends will face harsher actions to make sure everyone understands how important it is that attacking people in the system, especially our employees, has consequences, stated Janno Leiber, CEO and Chair of the MTA.

Still, no one has been arrested.
