JobsNYC can help you find work. It is the main job site for the City of New York. Right now, the DOT in New York City has 270 full-time jobs open.

There is a range of salaries listed for the jobs, with some making over $100,000.

    Jobs Requiring Experience

For some jobs, you need a certain amount of knowledge. Most of the jobs require "experience," but there are entry-level and student positions.

Over one-third of jobs are in design, planning, and engineering. Administration, building management, finance and accounting, legal matters, technology, and communications are some of the other types of jobs.

How To Navigate The New NYC Jobs Website

When you go to Jobs NYC's "jobseekers" site, you'll see a button that lets you look at all 80 of their programs. The city directly administers some of these programs. For example, the Human Resources Administration of New York City works to match people with jobs. Other programs are run by non-profits. For example, Emma's Torch helps refugee seekers learn how to work in restaurants for free.

There is a "Find Jobs" tab at the top right of the page that will take you to the city's job board. You can find jobs in a variety of fields, such as education and health care. You can also look for jobs in the New York City government or by neighborhood.

The NYC Jobs website also includes a newsletter.

You can sign up for the Jobs NYC: Jobseeker newsletter. Depending on your choices, the city will notify you of open jobs, training, and events.

You can also use the website to find out about events like job fairs happening in all five boroughs.
