At 7 p.m., the MTA reported a hit at the 14th Street-Union Square stop, prompting the call for emergency crews.

Those heading someplace in Manhattan should ride the M14A-SBS or M14B-SBS bus. From Manhattan to Brooklyn, the MTA advises you board an A, C, J, or M train.

Many other rail lines had delays during the evening rush hour as well.

    The Northbound D Train

The MTA reported at 7:16 p.m. that police were rerouting northbound D trains on the N line from Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue to 36 Street while they dealt with an unwelcome person on the tracks at 9th Avenue.

At 7:14 p.m., the 2 and 5 trains going north ran fast from East 180th Street to Gun Hill Road while the MTA looked into why a train's brakes were pressed near Bronx Park East.

The MTA says that as of 7:20 p.m., southbound A and C trains were still running late because of a problem with a switch at Broadway Junction.

MTA Bus Incident Left 10 People Injured

An MTA bus struck a pole along the elevated train tracks on Jerome Avenue, injuring ten people, according to city officials.

News 12 captured the moment the Bx32 bus hit the pole on surveillance video. The crash shocked many people who were crossing the road at the nearby intersection of Jerome Avenue and West 181st Street.

The NYPD reports that they transported ten individuals to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The MTA bus driver was one of those ten guys.
