New Yorkers were used to seeing floods when it rained hard.

The most interesting one might have been from Manhattan, where water could be seen pouring from the roof of the famous Chelsea Market.

Roads Suffered A Lot of Damages

Transit also suffered a lot of damage. According to Amtrak, all service between New York Penn Station and Philadelphia was stopped at 8:20 p.m. on Sunday because of flooding.

Because of the floods, trains between New York and Philadelphia stop on the tracks.

Rain And Flash Floods In Tri-State

Intense storms over the weekend dumped nearly a foot of rain on parts of Connecticut and then hit the tri-state area again late Sunday with blinding downpours that made movement impossible. Hundreds of people were left without power, and many brave people had to jump out of cars to save them.

Up to three inches of rain an hour was expected to fall overnight. As of Monday morning, there was still a flood warning for Suffolk County, New York, and a river flood warning for Fairfield County, Connecticut. Flash flood warnings that were in effect all night ended around morning. Here, you can see the most recent current alerts.

This weekend, Connecticut suffered the most from the heavy rain that fell early Sunday morning. News came in from New York and New Jersey about the second round of storms. We didn't know right away if anyone was hurt.
