The $40 million boat, owned by British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, flipped over in a violent storm on August 19, killing seven persons, including the Morvillos.

Lynch perished in the collision along with his daughter Hannah.

It is also alleged that prosecutors are looking into the possibility of the captain and two crew members being involved in the disaster. The 184-foot luxury yacht flying the British flag was saved along with fifteen other individuals, including Lynch's wife.

The CEO of the manufacturing company that constructed the yacht has attributed the ship's failure to a string of "indescribable, unreasonable errors" committed by the crew.

As stated in shipping forecasts, Giovanni Costantino told Reuters that the boat's crew committed an "incredible mistake" by not being prepared for the storm. The CEO claimed that when the ship was getting ready for the storm by raising the anchor, the passengers ought to have been summoned from their cabins and told to gather at a safe spot.
