According to property records, South Kent's Christopher Morvillo and his wife, Neda Morvillo, owned a 111.7-acre home with four bedrooms. The couple purchased the house in August 2018.

Based on what appears to be his LinkedIn profile, Christopher Morvillo also attended Canterbury College, a boarding school in New Milford, from 1980 to 1983. The school refused to confirm if Morvillo was a student for reasons related to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Two of the twelve passengers on board the 184-foot yacht Bayesian were Christopher and Neda Morvillo, according to the Associated Press. A powerful storm attacked the boat early on Monday morning, causing it to sink near Sicily.

The Italian Coast Guard verified to The Associated Press that Lynch was one of five victims found among the debris on Thursday. The identities of the bodies that remain are still a mystery.

According to the Associated Press, part of the purpose of the trip was to celebrate Lynch's acquittal in a fraud case that Morvillo represented him in.

The former New York federal prosecutor was considered a premier defense lawyer with a focus on fraud and corruption cases. Most recently, he was a partner at Clifford Chance.
