During an attempted robbery in the Bronx last week, a guy dragged an 81-year-old woman down a street, according to police, who also released a photo of the suspect on Thursday.

Around 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, the victim was in front of 3998 White Plains Rd. in the Wakefield neighborhood when the suspect attempted to take her purse, according to the police.

The Man Was Trying To Take Her Bag

In broad daylight, authorities said, she was dragged on the ground as he tried to take the bag away from her.

In the end, he made his getaway empty-handed, traveling east on East 226th Street, according to the police, who estimate his age to be around eighteen.

The Old Lady Is Suffering From Injuries

The lady sustained elbow and knee injuries, and she was transported to the Montefiore Medical Center by emergency personnel for treatment.
