Blacktop Basketball League returns in August
A year removed from their 30th season, the Blacktop Basketball League gets back in action in August. Games begin on Aug. 12 with the season running through Oct. 17 at Silver Lake Park in Erlanger. Gamedays are Monday-Thursday. The league is open to boys and girls teams from grades 3-8.

Louisville mother charged after police find newborn baby dead inside trash bag
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Police are investigating a 22-year-old mother after she allegedly put her newborn baby inside a trash bag, and left the bag inside a closet. On July 6, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 700 block of Zorn Avenue, after calls came in reporting that a baby had been placed in a bag and hidden inside a closet. When officers arrived, they found a bag inside the closet that had what appeared to be blood and flies inside.
