CHASSE Building Team Celebrates Thanksgiving with 3rd Annual CHASSE-Giving Meal Kit Distribution
CHASSE Building Team, an employee-owned and operated general contractor that oversees more than $425 million in construction projects across Arizona annually, kicked off the holiday season early by coming together for CHASSE-Giving, an annual giving event wherein employees volunteer together to help the local community. This year, more than 60 team members from CHASSE took part, helping put together nearly 1,600 holiday meal boxes for local families’ Thanksgiving celebrations. Each meal box contained donated pumpkin pies, a slew of traditional holiday side dishes and other surprises.

Arizona Schools Bring Awareness to Bullying Challenges During National Bullying Prevention Month
Every year, almost 6 million students nationwide report being bullied during the school year. In a recent survey of parents, 44% said they enrolled their students in a K12-powered school because of safety and/or bullying-related concerns at a previous school. In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month this October, Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA) and Insight Academy of Arizona (ISAZ) have partnered with nonprofit organization Rachel’s Challenge to host a Draw a Line Against Bullying Move-A-Thon Oct. 21-29 to raise awareness of the challenges children face in the wake of bullying and harassment. Powered by the online education solution provider K12, the two schools will raise funds to promote bullying’s harmful effects, and how students, schools and communities can work together to combat them.

Delta Dental of Arizona and AZPBSkids LEARN! are pleased to announce the launch of HealthySmileLearning.org, a FREE resource site in both English and Spanish for parents, caregivers, children, and teachers featuring family friendly videos, resources and classroom curriculum focused on oral health. The user-friendly site offers information a wide range of topics, including videos and tips to prepare children for visiting the dentist; best bets for brushing and flossing directly from a registered dental hygienist; nutrition and oral health; and the connection between oral health and overall health. There are even pages within the site dedicated to learning about animals’ teeth and careers in oral health.

CHASSE Building Team, Higley High School Celebrate State-of-the-Art Academic Building
On August 1, students from Higley High School were joined by their families, Higley Unified School District leadership, CHASSE Building Team, and DLR Group to celebrate the opening of their new 21,000-square-foot academic building. The two-story building features 12 total classrooms to help accommodate growth and was designed to meet the needs of today’s students. The 2023-2024 Higley High School enrollment has grown to approximately 2,220 students, an increase of nearly 400 students from just five years ago.
