Brush Fire Sparked After Vehicle Overturns, Catches Fire In Acton

A small brush fire was sparked Thursday afternoon after a car crashed off the side of Soledad Canyon Road in Acton.

Around 12:20 p.m. Thursday, first responders received reports of a crash on the 8800 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, said Kaitlyn Aldana, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

A vehicle went off the side of the road, landed on its side and caught fire spreading to the nearby brush, according to officials.

Firefighters were able to hold the fire to one-eighth of an acre.

The driver of the car was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
