Global Leadership Academy Jr. Beta Club Wins at National Convention

In the last few months, Junior Beta members from the Global Leadership Academy for Homeschoolers have been working hard to prepare their entries for the National Beta Convention.

They were able to celebrate the hard work earlier this month when the winners of the following competitions were announced: Marketing & Communication – 2nd place, Create & Animate – 3rd Place, Technology – 4th Place, Digital Portfolio – 5th Place, Project Proposal – 7th Place and Engineering – 9th Place.

The Global Leadership Academy competed and received awards during their State Convention held last year in November. Their victories at the state level allowed the students to compete at the national level in Savannah. Over 4,800 Junior Beta students, grades 6-8, from all over the country were in attendance.

Acworth’s own Chrisma Epps and Jason Scott led the club to place second in the nation in Marketing & Communication. Zion Darius of Marietta used his digital design expertise to help the club win in the Create & Animate and Digital Portfolio.
