Adair County Fair Begins Today

(Adair Co) The Adair County Fair kicks off today.

The morning will consist of entering rabbits and weighing in swine, market beef, bucket/bottle calves, meat goats and sheep. Quilt Show entry will take place from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Dog Show is at 1:00 p.m. The Clover Kids Rabbit/Cavy Show is at 3:30 p.m., followed by the 4-H/FFA Rabbit/Cavy Show at 4:00. The Open Archery Tournament is from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.

At 6:00 p.m., enjoy a free BBQ Hamburger/Pork Burger meal compliments of the Adair County Fair Board, as well as an ice cream social, and 4-H Silent Auction.

At 8:00 p.m. is the Little Miss and Little Mister Adair County; Local Conservation Awards; Awards for Crops in the Field, On-Site Garden, Bucket of Junk, Pride of Iowa, Apple Pie /Baking Contest, Cookie/Cupcake Decorating Contest, 4-H Hall of Fame, and 4-H Senior Recognition. The Adair County Fair Queen Coronation will take place, followed by Fireworks.

The Adair County Fair runs through Sunday, July 14.
