Tulsa Public Schools Presents Key Updates On Structural Changes To State Board
The Oklahoma Board of Education had a packed agenda on Wednesday discussing Bibles, immigration, and the Trump assassination attempt. Tulsa Public Schools was also at the meeting to update the board on changes the district is making ahead of the new school year. Leaders with Tulsa Public Schools focused on the structural changes it has made to improve the district including a new executive leadership team, resources for teachers, and school organization.
Authorities find sawed off shotgun at residence
Kevin Lee Kates, 46, of Keota has been charged in Haskell County District Court with possession of sawed-off shotgun/rifle. On July 10, Lt. Mitch Dobbs and Deputy Michael Tripp with the Haskell County Sheriff’s Office served a protective order on Kates at a residence on North County Road 4467D in the northern part of Haskell County, according to an affidavit.
Gavin Sawchuk ready to carry the load for the Oklahoma Sooners
The Oklahoma Sooners running game got off to a rocky start in 2023. Much of it due to injuries sustained by second-year running backs Jovantae Barnes and Gavin Sawchuk. Barnes played early, but wasn’t quite himself as he battled through injuries in the early part of the season. Sawchuk wasn’t fully available till midseason, but once he was, it didn’t take long for the former four-star running back to establish himself as the lead back.
