Hastings kicks off Fourth of July with a parade
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - YWCA Adams County started off the Fourth of July holiday with giving kids a chance to show off their red, white and blue. Kids, and kids at heart, decorated bicycles, wagons, and toy ATVs, before taking a stroll around the fountain to the beat of a marching band.
Hastings resident sentenced for meth possession
A 42-year-old Hastings resident was sentenced July 1 in Adams County District Court to 18 months in prison for possessing methamphetamine on June 27, 2022. Christopher M. Malesa, whose last known address was 827 N. Williams Ave., pleaded guilty Nov. 13, 2023. In exchange for the plea, prosecutors allowed him to enter veteran’s treatment court. He was terminated from the program on March 11.
