Hastings man sentenced for threatening neighbors with gun
HASTINGS, Neb. — A Hastings man charged with threatening his neighbors with a rifle has been sentenced. According to Adams County District Court records, Anthony Copley, 21, was sentenced Wednesday to four years probation on charges of attempted possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and terroristic threats.
Adams County Fairfest opening ceremonies
HASTINGS — The Adams County Fairfest opening ceremonies were held during the evening of Wednesday, July 15. The master of ceremonies for the event was Y102’s Lisa Williams. There were welcomes from the agricultural society delivered by Williams; Lee Hogan represented Adams County and Mayor Corey Stutte spoke for the City of Hastings.
Roseland man sentenced for firearm discharge
A 33-year-old Roseland man was sentenced July 10 in Adams County District Court to 14-18 months in prison after firing a rifle through a door in the direction of a neighbor. Brock M. Grabill pleaded no contest Dec. 12, 2023, to attempted first-degree assault, a Class 2A felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Hastings man sentenced for stolen firearm
A 19-year-old Hastings resident was sentenced July 10 in Adams County District Court to three years of deferred probation for possession of a stolen firearm on Aug. 29, 2023. Carlos Ramos, whose last known address was 1410 E. South St. No. 17, pleaded no contest April 25.
