Estate of woman who died at Highview of Northampton is suing facility
NORTHAMPTON — Triona Hanley was admitted to Highview of Northampton, a nursing home, in early 2017 for rehabilitation therapy after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Hanley was prescribed pain medication, but it wasn’t administered to her one day in early June 2017, despite Hanley rating her pain as an 8 out of 10, according to a lawsuit filed by her estate in 2020 in Hampshire Superior Court. Around 11:45 p.m., a nurse noted Hanley was asleep in her chair, according a court filing from her estate.

Police in Springfield, Massachusetts, are searching for a missing teenager. Authorities say 14-year-old Aiana Dominguez ran away, but did not say when. Mass. weather: More thunderstorms Monday night ahead of dangerous heat
Right as temperatures are expected to keep climbing this week, parts of Massachusetts could see thunderstorms develop Monday afternoon, the National Weather Service announced. Forecasters noticed a broken line, west to east and northeast of Boston, of showers and thunderstorms developing along or near the Massachusetts Turnpike. New storms starting Monday could produce “copious amounts of rainfall in a short period of time,” with a chance of damaging winds.
Dog fence damaged after vehicle accident
GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A portion of the dog park at the Green River Park on Petty Plain Road in Greenfield was closed Friday afternoon after a car accident that resulted in the destruction of part of the fencing. Mouse nest causes A/C fire at Leyden home
LEYDEN, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — An exterior air conditioner unit caught fire at a home on Greenfield Road in Leyden Thursday evening. Crews were dispatched to the scene at 5:05 p.m. and found a burned thermostat and the A/C fire, caused by a mouse nest in the A/C unit.
