MoCo inspector general deals with eight-fold increase in MCPS-related complaints
The number of complaints about Montgomery County Public Schools received by the county’s Office of the Inspector General showed an eight-fold increase in the past year, with 185 complaints filed from July 1, 2023, to June 30. Virginia State Police tried to stop a Nissan driving west on Old Keene Mill Rd. in Springfield at 5:14 p.m. on June 30 for reckless driving. Police say the driver refused to stop, instead speeding away. The pursuit concluded near Old Keene Mill Rd and Spring Street when the Nissan struck multiple other vehicles, and the suspect driver and passenger fled on foot.
