Woman killed by hit-and-run driver in South L.A.
LOS ANGELES – A 48-year-old woman was killed Monday morning when she was struck by a vehicle whose driver left the scene in the Florence area of Los Angeles. The crash occurred at 1:11 a.m. at 219 W. Gage Ave., according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.

Class of 2024: Six Fellows Selected For Commercial Directors Diversity Program
LOS ANGELES -- Tamika Lamison, executive director of the Commercial Directors Diversity Program (CDDP), has announced six Directing Fellows who have been awarded Arri Camera grant packages, Jordan Brady’s Online Commercial Directing Master Class, and other resources to support their journey as commercial directors during the program’s 2024 cycle. The Fellows are: Anjali Nayar, April Moreau, Derek Smith, Jonathan Benavente, and the directing duo known as SCOUT, consisting of Lindsay Sunada and Jensen Vinca. The directors were welcomed at a recent orientation held at SMUGGLER with representatives from the DGA & AICP.
