A Wednesday morning gunfight in west Tuscaloosa injured one man and saw several area homes struck by bullets. Police are still on the scene and this situation is still developing, but at 9:30 a.m., TPD spokesperson Stephanie Taylor said officers responded to the area of Kaulton Park in west Tuscaloosa after gunshots were reported around 8:45 a.m.

Fire officials investigate structure fire in Downtown Opelika
OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) - The Opelika Fire Department is investigating a structure fire that occurred Tuesday night in Downtown Opelika. According to the Opelika Police Department Facebook page, first responders responded to a structure fire near the 400 block of 8th St. in Downtown Opelika around 11:28 p.m. Tuesday night. Officials say upon arrival, authorities saw heavy smoke and began clearing the buildings. Fire officials are still looking for the source of the fire.
