Damaged three years ago by the second largest wildfire in California history, one of Lassen Volcanic National Park’s most popular attractions remains closed. The Dixie Fire, which burned about 70% of Lassen Park in the summer of 2021, did extensive damage to the Drakesbad Guest Lodge. Repairs are taking longer than expected, so the lodge and Warner Valley Campground will remain closed this summer, Lassen Superintendent Roseann Worley said.
