Recycling & Shredding Event on 10/5
There will be a recycling and shredding event on Saturday, October 5 that will be held by Troy Township. The event is free to attend without setting an appointment. The recycling portion of the event will be from 8 AM to 2 PM CT at the Troy Township Highway Department Recycling Center. The items that will be accepted for recycling are standard textiles like clothing, towels, and upholstery, traditional recycling items like paper and cardboard, and car batteries. The Highway Department will not accept any electronic items for recycling.

You will be able to get rid of electronics that are no longer working along with hazardous waste that has been spreading noxious fumes throughout your home, which is why the air inside your home is way more polluted than the air outside.

The State of Illinois needs plenty of Spanish-speaking workers right now in order to translate wherever necessary. The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) just had litigation filed against them last week over a situation in which a communication barrier led to a lawsuit. A lady had her infant child taken away from her because there was a lack of a Spanish-speaking translator in the vicinity.
