Due to over 40,000 migrants that were sent from Texas earlier this year to Illinois, the Land of Lincoln is still suffering from a manpower issue in providing social services to them over the past few months.

As a solution to this problem, the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) is holding a Spanish-speaking virtual job fair on Wednesday, July 24 from 2 PM to 3 PM CT.

The goal is to find bilingual people that need jobs in order to catch up on all of the paperwork and to make sure that the migrants receive the necessary basic resources to provide for them and their children.

The areas in which the State of Illinois needs to hire bilingual people are in healthcare, administration, and in customer service. Over 450 jobs throughout the entire state of Illinois currently need to be filled.

This virtual presentation is free of charge, but you will need to register at this link provided by IDHS. After registering, a link will be sent to your email that will send you to the virtual job fair.
