The reason why so many people travel to Yellowstone Park each and every year is to see the many wonders of nature. However, visitors ended up being a little too close to nature when there was a geyser explosion on Tuesday morning at the Biscuit Basin thermal area.

The geyser explosion occurred about a couple of miles away from Old Faithful. Visitors were walking on the boardwalk when the geyser wanted to show people that nature has no boundaries.

The explosion sent water and debris hundreds of feet into the air. Fortunately, none of the tourists were injured while running away from the geyser.

The last time an explosion in this area occurred at Yellowstone Park was in 2009. However, geologists concluded that a major explosion was going to happen soon after monitoring a smaller hydrothermal explosion that happened three months ago at the Norris Geyser Basin.
