Illinois State Fair from 8/8 to 8/18

The 2024 Illinois State Fair will be from August 8-18 at the State Fairground in Springfield. General admission to the Illinois State Fair is $40 per day with a special for seniors where it is $45 for the entire event.

The Illinois State Fair went all out this year in obtaining top-level musical talent throughout the entire event at the grandstand stage. Here is a list of all of the concerts that will be at this year's fair. All of the concerts will have a starting time of 8 PM CT.

Friday, August 9: Keith Urban.

Saturday, August 10: Motley Crue.

Sunday, August 11: Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit.

Tuesday, August 13: Jordan Davis.

Wednesday, August 14: Lil Wayne.

Thursday, August 15: Jonas Brothers.

Friday, August 16: The Smashing Pumpkins.

Saturday, August 17: Miranda Lambert.

Sunday, August 18: Shaboozey.

The State Fair will also have family-oriented events going on at the arena. Here is a list of all of the arena events.

For all of the carnival enthusiasts, you can purchase a mega pass for $100. The mega pass will be good for unlimited rides for all eleven days of the fair except for the Sky Glide and the Giant Slide. However, you can purchase a jumbo pass for an extra ten bucks that will give you unlimited rides on all eleven days along with unlimited rides on the Sky Glide and the Giant Slide.

If you do not want to pay extra for entertainment, then you can head over to the Grand Central Stage where bands will be playing each and every day during the State Fair. There will also be twelve other free entertainment stages that will be open on all eleven days.

The best part of the Illinois State Fair is the food. There will be 131 separate food booths set up throughout the State Fairground in Sangamon County.

You also do not need to worry about safety at the Illinois State Fair because Sangamon County Sheriff's Deputy Sean Grayson will not be working security detail at the event.
