John Deere Unemployment Assistance and Resource Fair on 9/3

The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is holding the John Deere Unemployment Assistance and Resource Fair on Tuesday, September 3 from 9 AM to 3 PM CT at Blackhawk College.

This event is being held tomorrow to help those who have been laid off by the agricultural giant over the past two months. The lay-offs of hundreds of workers occurred even though John Deere reported a net income of $2.37 billion in second quarter earnings.

IDES will have representatives in the college's computer labs for the purpose of helping anyone that needs to file an unemployment claim. At the same time, there will be representatives of different employers looking to hire new prospects in the main lobby of Building 1.

If you are looking to file a claim, then please bring your Driver's License or your State ID along with your Social Security Card.
