The Will County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, September 25 from 12 PM to 1 PM CT. This webinar is the last one in the last one in the Lunch and Learn Series about preparing for disaster.

The title for this public preparedness webinar is called 'Financial Preparedness: Building Resiliency for Life's Challenges.' We all deal with money issues from time to time, but we must have a recovery plan for our finances when unfavorable circumstances come our way. This webinar will show you how to put together a financial strategy on what you can do after a disaster no matter what your financial situation may be presently.

This virtual presentation is free of charge, but you will have to register at this link provided by the Will County EMA. The webinar will be presented by Will County EMA Public Preparedness Group Division Chief Erin Ward.

You will have to enter your name, your email address, and the city and the state where you currently reside. Then, a link for this webinar will be sent to your email address.

On the registration page, you can also request to have the previous four webinars sent to your email address as well. Here are the titles of the previous four presentations.

    - Preparing for Disaster: Intro to Preparedness

    - Emergency Readiness for Everyone: Meeting Diverse Needs and Special Considerations

    - Pets and Disasters: Are you prepared?

    - Nuclear Safety

Being prepared is vital in these times because the US Presidential Election is in six weeks. No matter who wins, the potential for riots will be very high at that time. Two out of every three people in the US are concerned that political violence will happen after this election. Be prepared.
