The Friends of the Library Group will be holding their annual fall book sale from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20 at the Black Road Branch of the Joliet Public Library.

The book sale will begin on Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM CT. For Friday, only members of the Friends of the Library will be allowed to buy books at this time.

However, you can become a member of the Friends of the Library for $10 per year. The Friends of the Library Group volunteer to help set up book sales at both Joliet Public Library branches throughout the year, which is why they receive first dibs on the books. Nevertheless, you can pay the ten bucks at the door to grab books earlier than the general public on Friday evening.

The book sale is then opened to the general public on Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM CT. Hardcover books and DVD's/Blu Rays are $1. Softcover books are $.50. Paperback books, audiobooks, music CD's, and all children and teen books and items are $.25.

The book sale will end on Sunday from 1 PM to 3 PM. The last day deal is the bag sale. You will be given a bag, and then you will be able to fill that bag with all of the books that you want for $3.

You will be needing plenty of books to read next month when the events of 1/6/21 will be widespread all over the nation after the General Election. When those wireless emergency alerts are sent out to stay at home, then you will have a bunch of books to read along with the extra time to read them all.

The Black Road Branch of the Joliet Public Library is located at 3395 Black Road west of Essington Road.
