One of three people arrested for their part in a shooting in downtown Columbia is scheduled for trial. Kalvin Johnson, 20, of Sikeston, was scheduled Monday for a jury trial to begin October 1. Isolated showers and storms possible the next couple of days
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Good Monday Evening Heartland. We saw another nice day across the Heartland though the humidity was slightly higher. For this evening we will see a few isolated showers and thunderstorms otherwise it will be partly cloudy and humid. Temperatures will fall into the 70s by the late evening hours. Lows by morning will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Tuesday will be partly cloudy, warm, and humid. Highs will once again reach the middle to upper 80s with the heat index approaching 90 degrees. There will be a slight chance for a pop-up storm but at this time it appears most areas will remain dry. The chance for isolated afternoon end evening storms will continue throughout the week with highs remaining at or below average.
