Parkersburg Resident Detained for Lincoln County Homicide
Tony Williamson, a 35-year-old man from Parkersburg was detained in the early hours of Monday due to an allegation of first-degree murder linked to a case in Lincoln County. Parkersburg City Council to consider land purchase for new fire station
PARKERSBURG — Members of Parkersburg City Council are set to vote Tuesday on the purchase of property for a replacement fire station. An ordinance on first reading at the meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday authorizes the $50,000 purchase of a lot in the 700 block of Briant Street owned by Seventh Street United Methodist Church. Mayor Tom Joyce said Friday that’s where Fire Chief Jason Matthews determined the city’s replacement for fire station 3 should be built.

Scattered storms move through ahead of cold front
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - We are seeing more showers and storms moving through as a system to our north continues to pass.
