Oatman, Arizona: Where the West is Still Wild & Wild Burros roam! This is a must-see Route 66 hidden gem, and I promise you won't be disappointed! It's a tiny tiny town in the Mojave Desert of Arizona, and if you blink, you could miss it! The best time to get the 'full' experience & see what it was like to witness a gun fight in the streets, is in the summer months, during a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday! And yes, there will be Wild Burros (Donkeys) roaming the streets. Please keep this as a remider, pleasr,l DO NOTfeed the Burros ANY human food, especially fruit & vegies. Sadly, they have developed Diabetes from all the fruits and veggies that tourists have given to them over the years & it kills them much faster than expected.
