Honoring Excellence: Nashville Blue Ribbon Teachers

    2023-10-18

    Nonprofit announces annual award winners

A Nashville nonprofit focused on education issues is honoring a group of 50 educators from the school district.

The Nashville Public Education Foundation (NPEF) joined with Nashville's Agenda to highlight Blue Ribbon Teachers. The Blue Ribbon awards honor educators who consistently demonstrate excellence. The winners receive a $1000 award and a roundtrip airline ticket provided by Southwest Airlines.

“Top teaching talent is critically important to our success, and we are committed to recruiting and retaining the best teachers and honoring the hard work they do every day for Nashville’s children,” said Dr. Adrienne Battle, MNPS Director of Schools. "We’re grateful to NPEF and Nashville’s Agenda for celebrating our teachers, who are working relentlessly to make sure every student is known while modeling transformative leadership in and out of their classrooms. Congratulations to this year’s Blue Ribbon Teachers on a job extremely well done.”

NPEF said the awards are an opportunity to highlight the excellence happening every day in Nashville's public schools.

“Each year, we are privileged to showcase the exceptional teachers throughout Nashville public schools,” said Katie Cour, Nashville Public Education Foundation President & CEO. “We are honored to celebrate their hard work and tireless efforts for our students.”
