FONTANELLE, Iowa — It's been more than a month since atornado tore through Greenfield. American flags line the streets, still waving among the rubble. There are many unanswered questions about what the coming months look like, but on Thursday, many Greenfield residents took the time to leave those worries behind and celebrate the Fourth of July down the road in Fontanelle.
New Iowa traffic cameras law puts Dubuque’s plan on hold
DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - Dubuque’s plans to install automatic traffic enforcement cameras will have to wait until at least 2026. A new Iowa law limiting how cities and counties can use traffic cameras went into effect July 1st. It creates standards for citations drivers can receive and puts a two year moratorium on new traffic cameras.
Area’s Largest Independence Day Celebration Set For Saturday In Breda
The area’s largest Independence Day celebration, hosted by the Breda American Legion, is set to get underway tomorrow (Saturday) in Breda’s Memorial Park. Legion Member Bob Fasbender says it is one of the best ways to celebrate the nation, even though it doesn’t fall on the holiday directly.
Nation's Largest Outdoor Farm Show Next Month
According to their website, the Farm Progress Show is the nation's largest outdoor farm event annually, hosting over 600 exhibitors from around the world. This year, the annual Farm Progress Show will be held August 27 - 29th in Boone, Iowa. National Events Director, Matt Youngman says the event attracts around 160,000 attendees each year, connecting farmers, ranchers and businesses.
