MINNESOTA - ATV clubs can request additional funding to cover trail repairs that happened this year with all the rainfall. During a recent legislative session, ATV Minnesota got thousands of dollars added to the Grant-In-Aid fund. Clubs are able to request a supplement once they have spent most of their existing funding. ATV Minnesota President Ron Potter says that clubs need to keep at least $1 in their current grant account otherwise it will be closed because you can’t supplement a closed account. Global tech outage affects flights, health care, state agencies in Minnesota
The massive technology outage that swept around the globe Friday disrupted flights, affected health care systems and knocked some government agencies offline in Minnesota. The Associated Press reported that the trouble stemmed from a faulty software update issued by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, affecting computers running Microsoft Windows. Crowdstrike said it was not a hacking incident or cyberattack; the company apologized and said a fix was on the way.

Walz Promises Southern MN Family “Full Investigation” Into Daughter’s Death
(Pine Island, MN) — Governor Walz is promising a southern Minnesota family a full investigation into their daughter’s death. Walz visited Pine Island yesterday to talk about state resources available to new farmers. He was asked about the charges brought against Minnesota State Trooper Shane Roper following a May crash that led to the death of Owatonna’s Olivia Flores. Walz called the crash “tragic” and said the investigation is needed to determine if policy changes are needed. Roper is facing multiple charges, including manslaughter and criminal vehicular homicide.
