GRANITE, Okla. (KSWO) - Two separate incidents in Granite have led to the arrest of four individuals who are now facing charges of trafficking. In the first incident, James Kenneth Ford III and Ajalein D’Undre Tyrik Monroe both face three counts of trafficking a controlled and dangerous substance as well as conspiracy. Ford faces an additional charge of driving without a driver’s license.
Most officers named in $2 million settlement still at Tulsa Police Department
Most Tulsa police officers named in a remarkable settlement for shooting a man to death in 2020 still work for the department. Eight officers confronted Jonathan Randell on Aug. 8, 2020 as he had a mental health episode outside of a Catholic Charities facility in north Tulsa. They first fired pepper balls at Randell while he harmed himself with a pocket knife. Then, they shot him when he threw the knife in their direction, even though most of them were behind police cars or riot shields.
From dining spot to learning center: Potential new purpose for Ardmore building
ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — The building at 127 West Main Street in downtown Ardmore has been sitting vacant since December after Sunset Grill had to close its doors for good. "It's a large building. It's a beautiful building. It's fully sprinkled, and so it's just been sitting vacant. It needs a large tenant," Ardmore community development director Jessica Scott said.
